THE DIVINE SPLENDOUR – DOLL DISPLAY 2018 – 2019
Navaratri or Dasara is an auspicious time in the Hindu Calendar, which is meant to mark the celebration of good over evil. The ten day long festival falls in the Hindu month of Ashwija usually during September Or October.
Goddess Druga is worshipped with devotion and fervor, accompanied by doll display in the Southern parts of India.
And At Vidyaniketan a grand doll display was arranged to mark the sacred occasion in the school from 13th October to 19th October 2018.
The picturesque deities of various Gods and Goddesses narrated a variety of mythological sequences. The other dolls of our Acharya’s, Dashavathara Dolls, Shiva ganas and temple Scenes alngwith Pattada Bombe were all decked in decorated platforms specially set up for the occasion.
The Nursery and Primary section visited the doll display and it was a great experience to see their excitement.
The event was concluded with Saraswathi Pooja in the Auditorium. New pages keep on adding in the book of our memory with every event in the school and doll display is one of them.
