Investiture Ceremony, Vidyaniketan Public School

The investiture ceremony is a formal procedure in which leadership or ranks are officially conferred to a person.
The Investiture Ceremony of Vidyaniketan Public School for the academic year 2019-20 was held in the school auditorium on 13th August 2019. Newly elected members of the Student Council were given their badges. The School Pupil Leaders (SPLs), Assistant School Pupil Leader (ASPLs), House captains and House Vice Captains received their badges.
Ms Rashmi Shetty, a professional certified coach by the International Coach Federation (ICF), was the honourable Chief Guest for the Investiture ceremony. She is the founder and director of ‘Third Eye’, a soft-skill training centre in Bangalore. She is also a motivational speaker and a mentor.
The Investiture ceremony was presided over by Mr Vijai Krishna Rajagopal, The principal of Vidyaniketan Public School. The level coordinators, faculty members and the students of class 9th and 10th also attended the ceremony. First, Shreya R of grade 10 extended a warm welcome to the assembly in her welcome speech. Next, the Principal addressed the gathering and motivated the members of the newly elected Student Council. Punarva of class 10th described the experience and laudable achievements of Ms Rashmi Shetty.
Then, the chief guest, Ms Rashmi Shetty, gave an inspirational speech about her experience, leadership and the virtues a leader should possess. She perfectly told that a person with good Listening skill, Excellence, good Attitude, Discipline, Empathy and Responsibility is an ideal leader. She ended her speech with an alluring poem. After her flawless speech, she handed over the badges to the School Pupil Leaders (SPLs), Assistant School Pupil Leaders (ASPLs), House captains, vice-captains and other members of the Student Council. The members of the Student Council took an oath and pledged to fulfil their duties with utmost responsibility.
Chinmaya Rajashekhar of grade 10 thanked the Chief Guest and the gathering in his vote of thanks.
“With Great power comes great responsibility” and the ceremony ended reminding all the leaders to fulfil their duties diligently.
