The Investiture Ceremony held on July 10th, 2024, signifies the confidence and reliance that Vidyaniketan Public School invests in the newly elected office bearers.
The event commenced with an invocation song, setting the tone for the ceremony. The Elected Council members made their entrance into the venue accompanied by their proud parents, and were warmly applauded by their supportive fellow mates.
The esteemed chief guest, Ms. Saraswathi Kasturirangan, Chief Happiness Officer, Deloitte, was given a cordial reception by the academic leadership team. Ms. Vasuma S Achar, Principal, addressed the gathering highlighting the significance of the investiture ceremony, and the responsibilities that are affiliated with leadership. She urged the new leaders to uphold school's values and ethics.
The event continued with a speech delivered by Ms. Saraswathi Kasturirangan, who emphasized confidence, courage, and compassion as essential qualities of a true leader. She shared her inspiring journey from the corporate world to becoming a Chief Happiness Officer, encouraging aspiring leaders to pursue their passions.
Mr. Vijai Krishna Rajagopal, Director of Vidyaniketan Group of Institutions, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting a leader's perseverance, dedication, and commitment to excellence. He emphasized that leadership roles entail more than just titles; they carry responsibilities that demand integrity, compassion, and exemplary conduct.
Next, the leaders marched onto the stage to receive their badges and sashes in a captivating march-past led by the SPL - Boy and SPL - Girl.

The highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected council members. The oath was administered by Ms. Namitha, Faculty, Social Science Department. They pledged to perform their duties with integrity, honesty, and dedication. The Head Boy Skanda H P and the Head Girl Nandini G expressed their gratitude for the trust placed on them by the student community. The newly elected Middle School Pupil Leaders, Shashank Lohith and Reethiksha M A delivered acceptance speeches on behalf of the Student Council members. Their speeches reflected the vision of the new leadership.
The newly elected leaders were bestowed with congratulatory messages by Ms. Sumitra Raghavan, Dean-Academics, and Mr. Vijai Krishna Rajagopal, the Director.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks. On the whole, the investiture ceremony set a positive tone for the academic year 2024-25.
